Here is just a quick update on what’s happening in life for me:
My husband and I have greatly enjoyed the fall foliage season New Jersey. We have been to Ringwood Park, Stokes State Forest, High Point State Park and Jenny Jump Forest among locales for foliage (see pictures on sidebar and click to see more in flickr).
My brother and I, with Ted’s help pulled off a fun and memorable 40th anniversary party for them. Family and friends both visited and I enjoyed catching up with some family/friends as much as my parents.
I took a friend’s advice to submit my Life_Story_Projects Yahoo Group and was rewarded with eight new members in 48 hours. That was very exciting, since I only had 3 members for months since I started my group in June. I hope that these are members who will actively ask questions and contribute to the discussion of all things involving a legacy of Family History.
I have persisted at Weight Watchers for five weeks now and so far, it’s slow progress, but progress in the right direction.
I’ve taken up (or RE-taken up) country line dancing as a result of my friend Leah’s encouragment and participation with me. Who knows where it might take me in the future…
We had a freaky snow/rain/slush storm today which is still going and probably causing pandomonium on the streets. My only thought is “this is just WRONG on so many levels”. I hate winter and for it to start on us even before Halloween finishes up just astonishes me. I wonder if it’s a harbinger for what this winter season might bring- let’s hope not.
I am looking forward to participating in Writing Group on Saturday. It was my turn to submit and will be the first group review of my writing I’ve had in a long time.
My fuzzy blanket and warm cat have become staples of my evening routine. If I get home late, it’s just not the same if I don’t get my “fur time”.
Hubby and I will attend a third church small group with our friends this Wednesday, before deciding where to settle for at least this school year.
So, there you have it.
