I got a phone call from my mom last night. Turns out she was very sick with a stomach virus last week, and now my dad and grandma both have it. It’s a messy sickness, and seems highly contagious. Mom had to take care of herself while she was sick, and is now taking care of both of them while working and trying not to get re-infected herself…
So, it looks like I will not be able to see my family at ALL this week. We’ll make up for it with a weekend visit next week or soon after, but it’s just not the same….
Well that stinks! I trust by now everyone is healthy!

All ended quite fine actually! by the next day Mom felt that Dad and Grandma were OK enough to have us come after all. I had a.. well…an interesting time as grandma had a “bad” morning, and mom and dad were both at work. I wound up doing some “cleaning’ but the rest of the weekend was fine and I’m glad we got up there. Neither Ted nor I got sick either, thank goodness!
